Kris

Kris has been a hairstylist in East Vancouver for 8 years, picking up skills from here to NYC. Despite being damn handy with a blade, Kris has specialized in dreadlocks and extensions since 2007 at The Lock Shop.  As a stylist and Knotty Boy Educator, she’s been responsible for some of North America’s finest off-the-wall hair, and she’s wicked excited to keep it up at The Dreadquarters.  She rocks a hook better than the villain in a campfire story, and it’s been said more than once that her hands move “like a freakin’ sewing machine!” (Despite this, she cannot crochet anything but hair to save her life, and she paid a Grade 10 student to finish the only Home Ec project she ever handed in.)

A tattoo and tiny dog enthusiast, Kris spends most of her free time skating with the Terminal City Rollergirls trying not to die. She misses taking the train in to work because it’s too hard to read comics or embroider on a BMX.
